Be my light, shower me with encouraging words, allow me to surpass my soiled bygone being and watch me. Watch me grow into a strong & delicate vibrant thing. Behold the bloom. -Jaz
The way we are portrayed on not just reality tv but television shows period these days are disgusting. Black people are seen as rachet, loud, dull, obnoxious and over all irrational beings. Why? Why aren't there more than a few images on television of positive role models for the youth? In this day and age, success is measured in dollar signs and youth aspire to be like a former stripper who made it out or an ex trap star turned rap star. I know that's not all that we are so why is that all that we see? It assassinates our character as beautiful, well rounded, creative people who are productive and responsible members of society. These materialistic mirages of success are overshadowing the importance of education. Why spend years in college when you can come up on a get rich quick scheme and make fast money right? We're preaching one thing to our kids and peers yet we indulge in the media's perpetuation of these modern day blaxploitation images. Our excuse is "It's entertaining." Yea? Entertainment for who? Verbal and physical altercations take place at least once in every episode. On a subconscious level, how healthy can that be for us as adults let alone children? Whatever happened to shows that made you feel good and taught you something? Or is that kind of entertainment outdated? The Cosby show will forever be one of my favorite television shows of all time, it truly is a classic. I fear for the youth today for not having a positive image on screen to idealize and aspire them as The Cosby Show has done for me. Please think about this, beautiful people, see the bigger picture, stand up for something and be part of the solution. Read, comment , and share please. Peace & Love. And any man who puts up that much of a fight and effort deserves it all. I'll nurse your wounds boo👌Love is about appreciation. Entitled "Thrust Hole of Life" Artwork by @donnosti "And since we all came from a woman, got our name from a woman and our game from a woman" -Tupac Happy Birthday to this young King. Congrats on his engagement and all of his well earned success. May he continue to be great and bless us with his talent. I love me some Jermaine Cole.😍😏 #CheckTheDateYouAintTheGod #Jan28th I've been obsessed with these peaceful colossal non-beastly beings 😱 Elephants represent good luck, good fortune, power, dignity, intelligence, peace and of course excellent memory. Not to mention it is completely rare for any animal to attack the elephant. We should be working together as a unit versus competing or attacking our men to make us feel empowered. Our kings are not the enemy. It's in a man's nature to protect and provide, if they don't feel needed there is no use or want for them to be around. Taking away their instinctive roles is emasculating. It's fine and dandy to be self sufficient and financial stabled but can't we win together? During the civil rights movement we've stuck together and fought for a better cause and now we're turning on our equal. The division was strategically made because they knew we we're stronger as a team; they've divided and concurred. We have to do better. I'd love to hear your feedback, talk to me. I see the beauty in everything and this sight is truly impeccable, breathtaking, majestic, eerie & alluring. That sky! The isolation and simplicity of it all, elements of pure nature! Take Me Away! -The Nine Worlds. Mono Lake, CA. #Aesthete #Wanderlust #CaliforniaDreaming #Nature #WitnessSomethingMajestic I cannot emphasize or advocate this enough. Self love in my opinion is the best and most important kind of love. Why? Because it all starts with you. You set the example of how to be loved. Before someone can ever love you, it's absolutely vital that you love yourself. Think about it this way, you will forever be YOU. Until the day your energy/soul leaves your temporary host/body you're currently living in, you will always be this being and never anyone else....ever; it's reality. So why not live this life happily and love who you see staring back at you? Why shoot yourself down every chance you get? Why be unthankful and pessimistic about yourself? I promise you nothing positive comes from negative thinking. Just think about it, when you accept your flaws no one can use them against you, correct? Their only power is your reaction and by you owning and loving every little thing about yourself down to your extra toe or cellulite, you take the bullet out of their gun and they no longer have power over you. It's essential to know and love who you are because once you do, no one can't ever define you! How can someone who can't possibly know you longer or better than yourself, tell you who YOU are? And you let them? And you believed them? Do you know how crazy the both of you are for letting this injustice transpire? When I put it that way, it seems a bit silly to let someone dictate to you who you are doesn't it? Well it is. In many cases people feel empty inside and feel as if they're missing something in life and the only way to feel whole is for another individual to complete them. I deeply feel this is unhealthy. Why? Because you should have complete control of your happiness without dependence of others. When you don't love yourself abundantly, your tolerance for pain increases. You're less reluctant and quicker to accept garbage in hopes of love. You'd defend someone who is deliberately hurting you before you'd jump to your own defense. Let me say that again. You'd DEFEND SOMEONE who is deliberately HURTING YOU BEFORE you'd jump to YOUR OWN DEFENSE . How distorted is this scenario? At that very moment, you loved someone more than you loved yourself. You've chosen someone over yourself and this is a crime. Guard your sacred self love, treasure your prize possession. Bury it deep inside of you, so far where it is intangible and no one can ever tamper with it. Recognize and keep distance from anything that ask you to compromise your self love; it is toxic and isn't love at all.
