Smh, money isn't power, it's paper. Yes, it is an aid but not power. Can you eat money? If all the supermarkets and stores closed down tonight, would you be able to feed your family? Being able to fend for yourself, having a small garden, having something to offer the world, being blessed with things money cannot buy is power. Currency can't buy character, class, common sense, experiences, happiness, integrity, intellect, knowledge, love, manners, morals, patience, respect or trust. Possessions do not make you rich in life. Don't drive yourself to an early grave chasing a thing with fallacious value. Enjoy life while you still have it. #MyGoalsAreToBeRichInLife #HaveWealthToPassOnToGenerations #Values #moneyisnthappiness #moneyisntpower #moneyisnteverything #Power
God fearing...What does that imply? This adjective never resonated with me. I understand having the utmost respect for the creator but fearing? I have no reason to fear God. God is love, light and truth...I fear neither one. I solely believe God isn't a single deity but a spirit and cannot be personified unless you look into the mirror. The soul that lies in ALL of us. Also the mystic energy that created the universe and nature. There's a stigma that comes with calling yourself a god, only to the individuals who fail to know they too are gods of themselves. Polarity is the state of having two opposite or contradictory tendencies. The creation and the creator. Love and fear. Love= God and Fear= Evil, Ego (ego to me being the root of all evil). It's an internal battle we all endure, but we're our best selves when love conquers all. I don't fear love, I don't fear light, I don't fear nature and the cosmic bodies, I don't fear my soul, I embrace becoming the Godly me. I'm thankful for the way I was brought up. My parents made a conscious effort to raise us without religion. When I asked why, my father replied he wanted religion to be a decision not a dictation. I appreciate that now more than ever. That gave my siblings and I the liberty to believe in what we wanted. My brother took on the Christian life and I steered off into the Conscious lane. Since I was yay high, whenever someone would ask me what's my personal belief , I'd reply "I am not religious but I do believe in God and I am a spiritual person" every time. I'm truly coming into my own and evolving into the woman Im meant to be. I too will give my children this freedom of belief. Let it be a decision not a dictation.💜#NotReligiousButSpiritual The origin of the English term, "Moor," is the Greek word, "mavro" which literally means "black, blackened or charred". These are the Moors of Spain who have made tremendous contributions to the world such as universal education; education for all. Christian Europe only had 2 universities and 99% of their citizens couldn't read or write; even the kings and queens were illiterate. The Moors were the creators of the alligator shoes since alligators are indigenous to Africa and not Europe. A Moorish man named Ziryab introduced the idea of eating in 3 courses (soup, main course, dessert), drinking out of crystal glasses instead of metal chalices and eating on placemats opposed to bare table. He is known for starting a vogue by changing clothes according to the weather and season. He also suggested different clothing for mornings, afternoons and evenings. Why don't we learn about this in school, I have yet to see this in history books. Slavery is not black history but the INTERRUPTION of black history! You see, black history is EVERYONE'S history. #BlackHistory #BlackHistoryMonth #Moors #Moorish Black History is everyone's history. Look at that; Jack Johnson invented the wrench while incarcerated. Bet he was tryna break free! Thank you for your contribution, King. "On June 1st, ( my birthday) 1921, the KKK attacked the black community of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It resulted in the Greenwood District, also known as 'the Black Wall Street' and the wealthiest black community in the United States, being burned to the ground." Let's rebuild Black Wall Street! Who's with me? Queen. This young lady is the truth. @ernestine.johnson Creator of the moving spoken word "The Average Black Girl" that was performed on The Arsenio Hall Show and went viral on YouTube at 3mil+ views. 'I am not half the woman they were...No I am not the average black girl, I can only aspire to be.' We are more than stereotypes and what viral social media videos or reality tv perceive us to be. We have the bravery, heart, strength and fire in us that our ancestors once had. These heroic women have shed blood sweat and tears to make sure we didn't have to experience half of what they've endure. Don't let their life's work go in vain. They've passed on the torch so I say don't be "average" be great. And Queens, there's something about a female who respect herself and others, you relate and gravitate to that positive energy. I wanna start---- no I WILL start a mentoring program in the future dedicated to young females and their transition into womanhood. Loving and respecting theirselves. Too many females wanting to be "Bad Bxtches" and not enough aspiring to be respectable Queens. This subject is so sensitive for me. (Please excuse the profanity) #MCM I don't believe any of the allegations against him, it's an attempt to tear down his empire, tarnish his name and belittle his legacy. This man helped shape black television to where it should be. With his vision, he broke down barriers and paved the way for African Americans to be perceived as more than average. Broke away from the blaxploitation era and into black excellence. May not be the handsomest fella but with his ambition, enterprising attitude, sense of humor and charm, he would've had me. #KingBillCosby #BlackExcellence #ILoveHim |
